I’m Nick, founder of d’Annam, and I’m often asked about the meaning behind our brand name.
At its simplest, it means “from Vietnam.” In Vietnamese, “An” speaks of peace and serenity — the core values of our brand. It is also my favorite Vietnamese word. “Nam” is a nod to Vietnam, our roots. Together, they form a name born of both heritage and stillness, like a quiet breeze through rice fields.
Words are merely a vehicle to express intention. Our intention has always been to celebrate Asian culture with reverence and authenticity.
